Working in layered oils, Lisa builds surfaces that both feel delicate and deeply dimensional, inviting viewers into moments of stillness and contemplation. Rather that relying on recognizable landscape imagery, these paintings distill experience into mood, texture, and space. The result is a body of work that feels sophisticated, intentional and deeply assured.

This evolution reflects an artist increasingly focused on essence over description. Through nuanced palettes, restrained gestures, and masterfully handling of paint, Lisa Noel continues to expand her practice, while remaining rooted in the sensitivity and elegance that have long defined her work.

Lisa is a Canadian painter with over 20 years experience. She is based in Ottawa, Ontario, where she maintains an active studio practice.
